August 16, 2014 – (Indianapolis, IN) – When the Colts take the field for the first time at Lucas Oil Stadium for pre-season NFL action, Methodist Sports Medicine team physicians will join the players and coaches on the sidelines again for expert medical care and consultation. Veteran orthopedic surgeons Gary Misamore, M.D. and Tom Klootwyk, M.D. will assist Colts athletic trainer Dave Hammer for injury care. Concussion management consultants, Henry Feuer, M.D. and Terry Horner, M.D. will also provide sideline support for the Colts vs. New York Giants game which is scheduled for kickoff at 7:00 p.m. EDT. The game will be broadcast live in Indianapolis over WISH-TV 8 and WLHK-FM, 97.1, “Hank FM,” and WFNI 1070AM, “The Fan.”
Fans attending or watching the game are expecting to see the return of LaRon Landry in the line-up at the safety position for a limited time. It’s unknown whether veterans Ahmad Bradshaw, (RB), Robert Mathis, (DE) and Reggie Wayne, (WR) will see any action during this the second of four pre-season games. All are expected to see some playing time during the pre-season.
After Saturday night’s game the Colts will resume training camp at their West 56th street headquarters and prepare for their week three pre-season opponent, the New Orleans Saints. That nationally televised game will kickoff at 8:00 p.m. EDT, on August 23.
