Indianapolis – January 12, 2015 – When the Indianapolis Colts face the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship on January 18, only one team will provide medical coverage for the Horseshoes. The physicians of Methodist Sports Medicine will stand with the players and coaches on the sidelines at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
As Indy looks to advance to the Super Bowl for the third time in nine years at New England next week, they will receive support from lead team physician Art Rettig, M.D., orthopedic shoulder specialist Gary Misamore, M.D., orthopedic knee specialist Tom Klootwyk, M.D., and Concussion Management Consultants, Terry Horner, M.D. and Henry Feuer, M.D. The 2014 NFL season marked the 31st consecutive year that Methodist Sports Medicine is the Official Team Physician group of the AFC South Champions.
The Colts return to face a Patriots team that delivered one of their most bitter defeats of the 2014 season, a 42-20 loss at Lucas Oil Stadium in November. The AFC title game will be televised nationally over CBS and locally on WTTV-4 with kickoff scheduled for 6:40 p.m. (EST). The game can also be heard locally over WLHK-FM 97.1 and over 1070AM and 107.5FM WFNI TheFan.
