Personal

Dr. Van Meter has lived in Indianapolis his entire life, other than some time away for college. A man with a strong spiritual foundation, Dr. Van Meter feels his greatest personal accomplishment and challenge is devoting his life to Christ and really allowing that relationship to enrich all the areas of his life including his role as a husband and father, a minister to others and working as a physician and surgeon, which he considers a true calling. He says it is the world's best job.

As a native and big fan of Indianapolis, Dr. Van Meter and his wife Ann, a physical therapist and athletic trainer, enjoy the friendliness of the city and its citizens. Dr. Van Meter is the father of five fantastic children.

On Saturdays during football season, you’ll most likely find him on the sidelines, and during the summer he’ll be in his ski boat or behind it hopefully making the perfect pass.
