Dr. Robertson joined Methodist Sports Medicine / The Orthopedic Specialists in 1987 after completing his primary care sports medicine fellowship at Methodist Sports Medicine / The Orthopedic Specialists. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice in both family practice and sports medicine
Dr. Robertson earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1983. He continued with a residency in family practice at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and before completing his fellowship in sports medicine at Methodist Sports Medicine / The Orthopedic Specialists. Dr. Robertson has been an NFL team physician for 20 years and is currently a team physician for the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts.
A native of Greentown, Indiana, Dr. Robertson attended Purdue University and earned a masters degree in immunology from Arizona State University. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, and the Marion County Medical Society, the Indiana State Medical Association, the National Football League Physicians Society and a charter member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
