Dr. Snead specializes in disorders of the upper extremity, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
He currently sees patients at the Carmel-Indianapolis, and Greenwood locations of Methodist Sports Medicine.
Dr. Snead is also seeing Avon patients at a new location in the Indiana University Health West Professional Office Center, Suite 148.
Born in Gary, Indiana, Dr. Dale completed a one-year fellowship at Methodist Sports Medicine/The Orthopedic Specialists and joined the practice during the summer of 1999.
He received his medical degree in 1991 from Wright State University and completed one year of general surgery and one year of family practice residency before completing his orthopedic residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Snead is an orthopedic consultant to Purdue University, Wabash College and team physician at Warren Central High School. He was also the orthopedic consultant and team physician for the Arena Football League’s Firebirds for the three seasons they were located in Indianapolis.
Dr. Snead grew up in Dayton, Ohio, attended Centerville High School and earned his undergraduate degree from Miami (Ohio) University.
He is a father who does weight training, plays golf and enjoys listening to books on tape. He has also gotten great personal satisfaction from working with young athletes as an orthopedic consultant to Purdue University, team physician at Warren Central High School, and orthopedic consultant and team physician for Purdue University.
