Dr. Lance A. Rettig specializes in hand surgery.

Dr. Rettig joined the Methodist Sports Medicine / The Orthopedic Specialists in August 2003 after completing his fellowship at the Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The son of Methodist Sports Medicine / The Orthopedic Specialists physician Dr. Art Rettig, like his father, Dr. Rettig is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and disorders of the upper extremities. As an active individual whose leisure time is filled with sports, Dr. Rettig understands the value and importance of mobility and the ability to enjoy athletic endeavors, even on a part-time basis.

He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Indiana University in 1993 and obtained his medical degree in 1997 from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Prior to his fellowship in Baltimore, Dr. Rettig also was an intern (General Surgery) and resident (Orthopedic Surgery) at the Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Rettig is a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Indiana Orthopedic Society, the Indianapolis Medical Society and the Indiana State Medical Association.

A native of Indianapolis, Dr. Rettig serves as team physician at Lebanon High School. He is married with two beautiful daughters.
