“We all have significant events occur in our lives that shape who we are and in my case, what I chose as my life’s work. I was actually a patient at Methodist Sports Medicine / The Orthopedic Specialists (MSM/TOS) in 1983. I returned a few years later with a significant knee injury. The care I received from Dr. Rettig and Dr. McCarroll, combined with my interest in sports, had a huge impact on my becoming a physician. I certainly believe that my experience as a patient has shaped my approach to delivering the most compassionate patient care possible.” – Patrick A. Kersey, MD
