Massage therapy is an important component in the rehabilitation and treatment of sports-related injuries.
Regular massage should be a part of an athlete’s preventative maintenance program to promote relaxation, improve soft tissue mobility, reduce the adverse effects of scar tissue and adhesions, and reduce muscle spasm.
These can all lead to a more productive training program along with an increased level of performance and rate of recovery from injury.
