Dr. Lanie Huffman graduated with honors from the University of Iowa where she received her bachelors of arts degree. She went on to study podiatric medicine on scholarship at Rosalind Franklin University at The Chicago Medical School/ Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated with honors in podiatric medicine. She completed her 3 year surgical residency at the University of Florida/Shands Jacksonville, Florida in foot and ankle that focused on orthopedic trauma with foot and ankle reconstruction. She was awarded outstanding resident of the year in 2008, and served as Chief Resident from 2008-2009.
Dr. Huffman is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is a Certified Master Surgeon in the Hyprocure flatfoot procedure. Dr. Huffman is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
She grew up playing several sports through high school and now enjoys watching her two sons participate in sports year round. She is married to her husband Colby who continues to coach and teach golf at The Golf Channel Academy with Colby Huffman. He was also a past assistant golf coach at IUPUI. They enjoy playing golf together as a family in their spare time.
