Methodist Sports Medicine (MSM) seeks a full-time, experienced IT Help Desk Technician. This position will be primarily located at our North office in Indianapolis/Carmel. Travel as needed to our South office in Greenwood, IN. Initial training will occur at the North office. Hours are generally between 8:00a-5:00p, Monday-Friday, with schedule adjustments and occasional overtime as needed.
Position is responsible for a variety of duties including supporting the clinic environment with any helpdesk needs. IT support occurs via face-to-face contact, phone, email and remote connections. Maintains ticketing system and keeps documentation current. Identifies problems, resolves issues and provides user assistance in a timely manner. Monitors, maintains and organizes computer files on disks or other mass storage. Assists in managing the door access and ID badging systems for both locations. Works with a variety of PC applications such as database management systems, MS Office Suite, Office 365 as well as EMR and PACS applications (e.g., NextGen, Viztec, etc.). Evaluates, installs and supports PC’s and various printers, graphics and storage devices. Sets up new users on the network and ancillary software systems.
Associates degree or comparable education in IT-related field required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science strongly preferred. At least one year of IT- related experience required. Healthcare related experience in a similar healthcare setting strongly preferred. Demonstrates core competencies regarding IT expertise, ITIL universal standards for IT and business alignment. Electronic health record and NextGen experience preferred. Experience with virtualization preferred. Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills as well as effectively resolves IT-related issues. Works well independently as well as within a team environment.
