Born in Gary, Indiana, Dr. Dale Snead always knew he wanted to be a doctor. His grandmother suffered from Leukemia when Dale was a child and this inspired him to go to medical school where he could serve people in need.

He completed a 1-year general surgery residency as well as a 1-year family practice residency then went on to complete his orthopedic residency at Miami Valley Hospital. This training was followed by a fellowship at Methodist Sports Medicine.

Currently, Dr. Snead is the lead team orthopedic consultant for Purdue University and has been serving the team since 2000.
