In efforts to protect you the patient and our staff, we will be pre-screening every patient who presents to the office. All patients need to present to their appointments wearing a mask.

We ask for you to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment for the pre-screening. If failed, your appointment will be re-scheduled out two weeks.

Unless the patient is a minor or needs assistance, only the patient will be allowed to enter the suite.

Justin Hawk

Physician Assistant Specializing in Hip and Knee Surgery

Justin Hawk joined Methodist Sports Medicine in November 2018. As a certified physician assistant, he assists Dr. Maiers in hip and knee surgeries and also sees patients and performs injections at the Carmel and Bloomington clinic locations.

He has always had a passion for sports medicine and loves helping patients get back to doing what they enjoy.

Justin attended Miami University in Ohio where he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. After graduating, he spent a year working at an orthopedic physical therapy clinic as a technician.

He then went on to the University of Toledo Medical Center to earn a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. 

In 2015, Justin moved to Indianapolis and began his career as a physician assistant working in the emergency department. In that role, he gained valuable experience in making orthopedic injury evaluations and gaining procedural skills. 

Justin is an avid sports enthusiast. Originally from Cincinnati, he is a die-hard Reds and Bengals fan. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kaitlin and dog Gracie (a yellow lab), doing CrossFit, traveling, golfing, reading, cycling, watching movies, and playing guitar.
