Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Specialist
Dr. Lance Rettig specializes in disorders of the hand, wrist, and elbow, and treats acute and chronic conditions of the upper extremity. Additionally, Dr. Rettig specializes in orthopedic sports medicine.
Dr. Rettig earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1997 and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Indiana University in 2002. He then performed a one-year Hand Surgery Fellowship at the Raymond T. Curtis National Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, from 2002-2003.
He returned to Indianapolis in 2003 to join Methodist Sports Medicine. He has served as an orthopedic consultant for Indiana State University since 2004 and currently holds the same role with Indiana University.
A native of Indianapolis, Dr. Rettig graduated from North Central High School, where he played tennis. When he’s not working, Dr. Rettig and his wife enjoy spending time with their three daughters. He also enjoys running, golf and snow skiing.
